The BTWN Foundation is a husband and wife team with a dream to bring awareness and relief to rural villages in Uganda. This foundation was created out of love, passion, and a genuine want to give the children of Uganda a chance at a better future.
Colline Ajidra was born in Entebbe, Uganda but spent a few years in Ogoko Village from where his family originates. This village holds a special place in his heart even all these years later. Colline is now married to his wife, MaryAnna Ajidra, who is from a small town in North Carolina, United States. Together, they visited Uganda in March of 2025 for their traditional wedding in the village. There, they saw the state of the village and how the community was struggling more than they ever had. This particular village has no running water, electricity or easy access to healthcare. While the people of this village are beyond happy and grateful for what they have, the Ajidra’s wanted to be able to give back to a community that provided so much for their family.
Upon their return to the States, the wheels had already started turning on how they would be able to help Ogoko Village. By the grace of God and generosity of strangers, in a few weeks time, the Ajidras were able to raise around $6,000 for school fees for children in the village. This meant that for at least 6 months, every child in the village would be able to attend school for free. Education is such an important part of the Ajidras’ story as Colline came to the United States on a golf scholarship to attend college and MaryAnna’s mother has been an educator for 10+ years. Education is one of the three pillars that The BTWN Foundation stands on. The other two pillars are empowerment and sustainability.
The main goal of The BTWN Foundation is to promote long-term growth and sustainability in every village in Uganda. We want to provide immediate relief without creating a sense of dependency on outside resources creating an even larger problem.
